The Romantic
Every bottle is a love letter.
For you, perfume is about feelings, not trends. You remember exactly what you wore on your first date and you'd never wear it to a job interview. Soft, petal-y, slightly powdery scents feel like home to you.

The Main Character
You don't enter a room — you arrive.
Your perfume has a trail and you know it. You love a scent people comment on, a bottle that looks good on the shelf and a fragrance that feels like a soundtrack. Bold florals and glossy ambers were made for you.
Notes to look for
- tuberose

- amber
- vanilla bean
Wear it for
Nights out, big meetings, birthdays and every time you walk past a camera.

The Mystery
People lean in. You smile and say nothing.
You'd rather be remembered than noticed. Your perfume sits close and changes through the day, so only the people near you get the full story. Smoky, velvety, slightly dark scents make you feel most like yourself.
Notes to look for
- iris
- incense
- smoky vanilla
- dark plum
- vetiver
- suede
Wear it for
Late dinners, gallery openings, winter evenings and first impressions.

The Sunshine
Golden hour, but make it a person.
You're the happiest person in the group chat and your perfume should match. Juicy citrus, sun-warmed skin and a little bit of fruit — scents that feel like a holiday and make people smile when you hug them.
Notes to look for
- mandarin
- neroli
- pear
- coconut
- solar musk
- freesia
Wear it for
Daytime, road trips, the beach and any day you need a pick-me-up.

A little extra credit
The fun facts we’d have printed in the margins of the magazine.
Where should I actually spray perfume?
Pulse points — wrists, neck, inner elbows and behind the knees — are warm, which helps the scent lift. Spraying a little on your hair or clothes also helps it last, though delicate fabrics like silk can stain, so test first.
Should I have a signature scent or a wardrobe?
Both are valid. A signature scent becomes part of how people remember you. A scent wardrobe lets you match your mood, the weather or your outfit. Many people do a bit of both.
Why does perfume smell different on me than on my friend?
Skin chemistry, temperature, moisture and even what you've eaten all affect how a perfume develops. That's why it's always worth testing on your own skin before you buy.
Is this quiz scientific?
No — it's a personality quiz in the most fun, sleepover sense. Take it again in a year and see if you've changed.
